With effect from 31 March 2019, the Garz & Fricke Group is strengthening its position through the addition of the software service provider e-GITS GmbH, based in Stuttgart and Chennai, India. Founder of e-GITS, Sven Liess, will remain as Managing Director of e-GITS and thus retain a key role along with the Garz & Fricke management in developing the corporate group into a leading systems supplier offering a one-stop shop for HMIs, vending machines and payment systems, while also expanding the Stuttgart location.
The core competency of e-GITS is to be found in tailor-made cross-platform applications. These mainly involve the development of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for embedded IoT components in the target markets of medical engineering, industrial automation, home automation and smart vending (connected vending machines). Furthermore, e-GITS has been a certified Qt partner for many years and offers training packages in accordance with customer specifications. The software applications cover embedded, mobile and desktop applications for operating systems such as embedded Linux, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS.
Including e-GITS, the Garz & Fricke Group employs some 150 people, a high proportion of whom are engineers. As well as increasing the workforce, the additional locations in south Germany and Chennai, India will allow the Group to provide even closer support for its customers in the future. The software development centre in India will continue to be supervised from Germany.
Through this merger, the Garz & Fricke Group is rounding off its portfolio of services. As an integrated systems supplier with expertise covering the entire value added chain, its range extends from panel PCs via human machine interfaces with operating system through to applications (GUIs), payment systems and cloud services.
Manfred Garz, founder and Managing Director of Garz & Fricke, sees major benefits from the merger for both parties: “e-GITS fits in excellently with Garz & Fricke, as our customers expect ready-to-use systems complete with hardware and software with increasing frequency. In future we will be in an even better position to meet these requirements. After all, the concept known as the one-stop shop is an important part of the Garz & Fricke success story. And in the short term, we are already expecting significant growth through the integration of e-GITS into the corporate group, as we have been maintaining a good business relationship with the company over for a considerable time and even now we are cooperating successfully in the field of medical engineering.
Sven Liess, founder and Managing Director of e-GITS, continues: “We are delighted that we will be able to offer fully integrated hardware and software solutions with Garz & Fricke in the future and thus continue the growth of e-GITS. This merger offers us the opportunity to benefit from shorter development times – and supply our customers with innovative hardware and software solutions from a single source. I look forward to being able to actively support this development over the coming years!”
